Iran, Italy joint concert ‘The Roads of Friendship’ to be launched

‘The Roads of Friendship’, a joint performance of Italian and Iranian musicians is to be held in Tehran.

‘The Roads of Friendship’, a joint performance of Italian and Iranian musicians has been scheduled to be held in Tehran.

More than 200 Iranian and Italian musicians will hold two mutual concerts in the Italian city of Ravenna and Iran’s capital, Tehran.

Italian music maestro and cultural ambassador Riccardo Muti leads the event with the Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus of La Scala, and most recently the Cherubini Youth Orchestra.

Members of Tehran Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Shahrzad Rouhani are the Iranian musicians joining the performance.

The concerts are scheduled to be held on July 6 in Tehran’s Vahdat Hall and on July 8 at Ravenna’s 4000 seated concert hall the Palazzo Mauro de Andre.

The Fondazione Ravenna Manifestazioni, realizes the Ravenna Festival since 1989 and 1997 the project 'The Roads of Friendship' with the slogan of ‘peace and brotherhood’.

Iran which is one of the most important countries with ancient civilizations, has been selected to run twentieth performance of 'The Road of Friendship' after some symbolic sites of ancient and contemporary history, including Beirut, Moscow, Yerevan, Istanbul, New York, Cairo, Nairobi, and Tokyo.
